Overview
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations at our pizza restaurant. This role requires someone who can manage people, maintain high food-quality standards, deliver an excellent customer experience, and ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing duties.
Ensure all prep, cooking, cleaning, and safety procedures are followed.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency across all menu items.
Manage inventory, place orders, and minimize waste.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment.
Team Management
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff (kitchen and front-of-house).
Provide coaching, performance feedback, and support to team members.
Ensure proper staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours.
Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.
Customer Experience
Ensure guests receive outstanding service at all times.
Handle customer issues, complaints, and special requests professionally.
Monitor dining and takeout flow to ensure quick and accurate service.
Financial & Administrative Duties
Manage labor costs, food costs, and inventory to meet profit goals.
Review daily sales, cash handling, and reporting.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control strategies.
Coordinate with vendors, maintenance, and service providers as needed.
Compliance & Standards
Ensure compliance with all health and food-safety regulations.
Maintain restaurant, equipment, and kitchen according to established standards.
Implement company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Qualifications
Required
2–3+ years of restaurant management experience (pizza experience a big plus).
Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations, and staff management.
ServSafe certification or similar (or willing to obtain).
Preferred
Experience working with POS systems and online ordering platforms.
Previous experience in fast-paced, high-volume settings.
Ability to train staff on pizza-making and food-prep standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Basic understanding of budgeting, inventory control, and scheduling.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
