Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department position, requiring a MO or compact RN license and ACLS/PALS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 trauma center with stroke and STEMI capabilities
- Includes care for both adult and pediatric emergency patients
- Float required between Emergency Department and ED Observation units
- Rotating day shifts (3x12 hours, 6:45 – 19:15), with work required on every other weekend
- Must be available to work at least 50 percent of holidays during the contract
- Cerner EMR is used; prior experience is preferred but not required
- Provide emergency care to patients with a wide range of conditions including trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Onsite CPI course may be completed if needed
- Frequent exposure to patients with potentially contagious illnesses
- Must be willing to float as required by departmental needs
- All requests for time off must be included at the time of application

- Active MO or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
- Current certifications: ACLS and PALS are required; CPI certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience including at least 1 year in Emergency Department or Level 1 trauma setting
- Ability to meet physical demands including ambulating and moving objects weighing 20 lbs or more, with or without accommodation
- Must be able to work rotating shifts including during inclement weather
- Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius to qualify for travel pay rates
- First-time travelers will be considered if they have Level 1 trauma experience
