Job Description

JOB TITLE : Trim Operator

Location : Independence

Schedule : M-F 6AM-3 : 30PM

Hourly Pay : $17-20

Term : Temp-Hire

JOB DESCRIPTION

Role and Responsibilities

  • Operating a powered folder, CTL line, slitters, and making small parts to produce metal roof and side panels.
  • Checking and visually inspecting produced trims against specifications to ensure a defect free product has been produced.
  • Installing tooling and adjusting machinery to trim specifications
  • Entering and sequencing parts for each order into a pathfinder and control board computer system
  • Operating a forklift / Combi Lift for positioning coils at un-coiler and moving produced material around the warehouse
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and assisting in other departments as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Experience working in a manufacturing / production environment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift / Combi Lift.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • High school diploma or GED

    • Physical Demands and Work Environment :

  • Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
  • Must be able to stand or walk approximately 7 ½ hours minimum per work shift.
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months.
  • The noise level is moderate to loud.
