Job Description
Title: Interventional Radiology Rad Tech - Neurosurgery

Schedule: 4x10 hours, Days; includes weekends, holidays, and on-call/callback per unit needs.

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Two (2) years experience
- Technician License (NY ONLY)
- AART Certification
- Neurosurgery/Neuroscience experience is required
- VIR certification is a plus

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning to produce diagnostic quality radiologic images.
- Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assists the Radiologist during procedures.
- Operates all x-ray equipment, CR and DR systems proficiently.
- Administers oral contrast as needed per exam and reports equipment malfunctions.
- Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner, assisting others and fulfilling clerical duties as needed.
- Maintains medication security to authorized personnel only and demonstrates awareness of patient rights.
