Experience & Requirements

• High school diploma

• At least 2 years of experience in mental health field

A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

Responsibilities

Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Behavioral Health Activity Therapist withYesCareat the Lexington/Fayette County Detention center located in Lexington, Ky:

1.

• Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate therapeutic/recreational activity segments of individual program plans to further the comprehensive treatment of patients.

• Develop specifically planned goals and objectives to be met with the implementation of therapeutic recreation.

• Oversee activities including, but not limited to, individual recreational activities, group recreational activities, exercises, games, sports activities, hobbies, social activities, music, etc.

• Document all activities pertaining to therapy conducted and record progress notes in each patient’s mental health record on a regular basis.

• Other duties as assigned.
