POSITION

Manual QA (Must be local to Tampa or within an hour )

LOCATION

Tampa FL (2 days onsite)

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop document and execute detailed test cases and test scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Perform manual testing including functional regression integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify document and track defects using bug-tracking tools ensuring clear communication with development teams.
  • Collaborate with developers business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Verify that software meets quality standards and adheres to requirements before release.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation including test plans test cases and defect reports.
  • Participate in requirement reviews to provide feedback on testability and quality.
  • Support post-release validation and assist with troubleshooting production issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with creating and executing test cases test plans and defect reports.
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g. Jira Bugzilla).
  • Basic knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing processes.
  • Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Office (Excel Word) for documentation purposes.
  • Strong analytical skills attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and ability to write simple SQL queries for data validation.
