DSP Team Manager / / Third Shift  Vaccination Requirement  You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including booster shot if eligible) & be able to provide acceptable proof.   Eligibility Requirements You must have a vehicle for driving to different Rimland locations.

You must be currently listed in the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry as a “DD-Aide”.

You must maintain this certification and all necessary re-trainings to remain eligible for this position post-hire.

This includes AED / CPR / First Aid instructor certifications.   Pay   Base rate :

  • You will provide hands-on guidance for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and the many individuals who call Rimland “home”.

Some of your responsibilities include :

  • Support the wellbeing of the individuals within Rimland’s programs  Monitor, document, and provide feedback on client goals to support the QIDP Department  Visit potential new clients to assess their potential fit within the Rimland community  Assist with new client orientation by organizing move-in transitions such as procuring bedding, clothing, and hygiene supplies  Procure funding for client outings as needed  Ensure CILAs are up to Rimland’s safety and care standards  Perform random and overnight inspections   Conduct monthly evacuation drills  Order food as needed  Provide training and guidance for DSPs  Conduct DSP trainings such as OJT training  Evaluate DSPs per Rimland’s Merit Based Pay Standards  Other duties as assigned  Location & Schedule  Location : Des Plaines  Schedule : This schedule changes on a quarterly basis.

    • The hours remain the same, but the days of the week change.   Example :

  • January – March : Monday – Friday, 12AM – 8AM  April – June : Tuesday – Saturday, 12AM – 8AM  July – September : Wednesday – Sunday, 12AM – 8AM  October – December : Thursday – Monday, 12AM – 8AM  Benefits  Full-time employees enjoy the following benefits :   Generous paid leave Insurance (group health after 90 days of employment)  401(k) retirement plan (eligible after 1 year)  Holiday incentives (gift cards, premium pay, etc.)  Paid trainings (First Aid, CPR, AED, CPI, and more)    Requirements  You must meet the following requirements :   Pass :   A fingerprint criminal background check  A child abuse and neglect check  A 11-panel drug screen.

    • This tests for :

  • amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, methamphetamine, methaqualone, opiates, and PCP, THC, Alcohol).  Provide :    An original document (no photocopies) showing high school completion or high school equivalency.

    • Examples include :

  • High school diploma, GED certificate, college transcript  Residency for the past 2 years  Current & original documents that verify your identity & ability to legally work in the United States  Two verifiable employment references within the last 3 years  Rimland is an equal opportunity employer.
