Position Details: - Title: Chemical Operator - Gels (2nd shift)
- Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have prior production experience and batch making experience.
- Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday
- Location: Gibbstown, NJ (08027)
- Salary Range: $20.00 hourly, based on experience and qualifications. Plus, shift differential.
Essential Job Functions: - Ability to understand and follow written or specified instructions regarding recipes.
- Accurately weigh materials and record on batch cards.
- 6 months - 2 years' manufacturing experience
- Fluent with the English language.
- Ability to understand and follow procedures/directions both written and verbal.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Organized and ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
- Math skills - Ability to convert lbs., grams, kilos, ounces, liters, etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities and demands.
- Involvement with waste handling processes: dispose of waste in appropriate containers and fill out appropriate waste logs.
- Additional duties/tasks as needed/requested by management.
Education/Certifications: - High School Diploma or GED
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb; and lift/move up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. In addition, must be able to maneuver and move 30 to 55-gallon drums or up to 450 pounds utilizing proper drum material handling equipment and/or the proper techniques.
Work Environment: Employee frequently works near moving mechanical equipment and chemicals and will be exposed to varying temperatures.
