Technology / Computer Science Teacher

A secondary Technology / Computer Science Teacher develops and delivers engaging lessons on programming, algorithms, data structures, software, and digital literacy, using project-based learning and hands-on labs to teach computational thinking, assess student progress, and prepare them for future tech careers, while staying current with emerging technologies like AI, robotics, and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum & Instruction : Design and teach lessons in computer science and technology, covering coding, software, hardware, and digital citizenship.
• Programming Focus : Teach multiple languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) and concepts like algorithms, data structures, and web development.
• Engagement : Create interactive labs, coding workshops, and project-based activities, integrating emerging tech like AI and robotics.
• Assessment : Evaluate student work, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback.
• Classroom Management : Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration.
• Professional Development : Stay updated on new technologies and teaching methods.
• Collaboration : Work with other teachers and departments to integrate tech across subjects.
• Student Support : Provide academic advising, mentor students, and supervise extracurricular tech clubs.
• Administrative : Maintain records, prepare materials (syllabi, handouts), and manage technology resources.
