Job Description

As a Security Officer - Telecom Reception Desk in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech-focused location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate : $27.95 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 08 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Tue 08 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Wed 08 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Thur 08 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Fri 08 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and / or contractors at the front desk, providing excellent customer service while following site-specific security-related procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor access points at the entrance, verifying credentials and helping to deter unauthorized entry to the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate according to site guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of visitor and contractor check-ins and check-outs, following Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with building management, tenants, and / or Allied Universal supervisors regarding security-related concerns and incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities when required, following established protocols for the location.
  • Remain alert and attentive at the front desk, observing and reporting any unusual activity or security-related incidents as per Allied Universal procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
