[job_card.job_description]Locations : Conshohocken Elementary Whitemarsh Elementary Colonial Elementary Plymouth Elementary Ridge Park Elementary Schedule : 8 : 45am - 3 : 30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break on full school day) Provide assistance to students with special needs who have IEPs or 504 plans Reinforcing learning concepts and skills. Working with students individually or in small groups. Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress. Managing students behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment. Supervising students during lunch, arrivals / dismissals, and other non-instructional areas. Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building Principal. High School Diploma required. For Title I positions - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB. Two years post secondary education, or higher, preferred. Prior public-school experience and / or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred. Employer paid clearances and TB screening : PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance PA Department of Education FBI TB Screening Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts Employees scheduled for 30+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits Employer paid medical base plan! SUMMARY :
- The hourly Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Colonial School District is $19.00 / hour.
- 3 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date).
- Employer paid clearances and TB screening!
- The Special Education Paraprofessional will work on student days following the academic calendar year.
- Special Education Paraprofessionals may support students in one or more of the following areas : Autistic, Emotional, Learning, and Life Skills Supports.
