The practice operates three (3) clinic locations in a convenient 20-minute driving radius, with privileges at local hospitals.

COMPANY PROFILE:
This privately-owned surgical practice opened in 2012 and, today, boasts a staff of 4 physicians and 2 physician assistants. Together they operate out of 3 private practice offices and perform surgeries at neighboring hospitals in Teaneck, Oakland, and Emerson. They specialize in general and colorectal surgeries, including surgical oncology, hernia, gallbladder disease, and advanced laparoscopic procedures.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new Physician Assistant will work closely with an experienced surgeon in the areas of hernia, gallbladder, appendix, skin and soft tissue, and colon surgeries.

Providers work in convenient block schedule rotations to ensure proper work/life balance. Settings include inpatient, outpatient, surgical centers, and shared on-call coverage.

In the inpatient setting, Physician Assistants round on 5 to 8 patients per day.

In the clinic, Physician Assistants have an average of 5 appointments per day and work half-days or less.

Surgical days vary in schedule and case load, based on types of surgeries scheduled.

In all settings, there are clinical assistants and/or nurses available to assist the providers.

The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with the surgeon and serve as first assist in hospital and surgical center settings, also having autonomous practice in the clinic.

REQUIREMENTS:
- New Jersey PA license
- prescriptive authority
- no experience required
