Job Purpose
The Business Data Scientist is a key part that helps to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Firm. The position is responsible for the ongoing analysis of Firm workflow, task and financial data, obtained from a variety of different sources. This involves development and preparation of information, reconciliations and reports for departments and management.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Subject matter expert for the Case Management data systemBuild and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), dashboards, reports, and data related products in a supportable and extensive way using organizationally accepted tools and methodsIdentify patterns and trends in data sets to support process improvement efforts to maintain or meet Firm goals or opportunitiesAnalyze results of data reports for anomalies, accuracy, and applicability to work with department leaders, BPM and QA teams for discussionProvides reporting and support as needed for data intensive projects throughout implementationResponsible for monitoring progress and maintaining reporting to ensure post go-live adherence to expectationsReview & analyze data to answer financial & technical questionsQualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data or business analysisMinimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL, Excel, and Power BIAbility to express complex analytical concepts effectively, both verbally and writtenProven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization.Demonstrated ability to analyze data in a variety of formats and to provide recommendations and support in establishing expectationsDemonstrated effectiveness in working with multi-functional teams in a technical production workflow environmentSuperior attention to detail to synthesize data from multiple sourcesAbility to multitask without sacrificing the quality and accuracy of the analytical data captured.Eligible to work in the United StatesWorking Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Requirements
The ability to work in an office environment, in front of a computer, while typing documents, responding to emails, managing calendars and answering phones.
