Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for surgical care? Join our dynamic Operating Room team at Albany Medical Center, where your expertise will make a significant impact on patients' lives.

Position : Clinical Nurse II in the Operating Room

Shift : Day

Salary Range : $83,200.00 - $93,184.00

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess, coordinate, plan, and implement care for surgical patients throughout their hospital stay.
  • Act as a patient advocate during surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with the caregiving team to deliver compassionate and competent patient care.
  • Document patient care and medication administration as per organizational policies and regulations.
  • Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of nursing practice.
  • Evaluate patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment at all times.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Graduation from a professional nursing program, with a diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate degree preferred.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply them in the patient care context.
