POSITION : Equipment Operator

LOCATION : Chowchilla, CA

REPORTS TO : Operations Manager

SALARY : $20.00 to $30.00 / hr., DOE

BASIC FUNCTIONS :

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various pieces of mobile equipment. Operators will push and pack waste on the landfill, load / unload trucks and trailers, move material around the facility, feed material to grinders, grade roads, and much more.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operate various equipment such as dozers, compactors, excavators, wheel loaders, water trucks, graders, and other equipment according to company policy.
• Responsible for the safety of all staff, contractors, and visitors on site while operating
• Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is safe and operational at all
• Perform formal pre and post inspections and complete accurate inspection reports in
• Maintain equipment according to company standards and report all issues
• Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable
• Communicate with spotters to ensure the safety of all customers, team-members, and customers in the
• Ensure that all related documentation is completed in a timely
