JOB SUMMARY :

Plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing engineering projects in a build-to-order production environment.  Interface with customers, other engineers and shop floor personnel to determine most effective manufacturing methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Design and develop processes / procedures in a job-shop environment including :
• Tooling requirements for formed, machined and welded metal components including fixtures for welding, machining, assembly and inspection.
• Develop, analyze and improve Bills-Of-Material (BOM’s) manufacturing planning and work instructions
• Interface with customers on part requirements and specifications
• Provide job estimates for customer request-for-quotes (RFQ’s)
• Analyze and plan work force utilization and work flow for maximum efficiency
• Work with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods
• Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs
