Our company, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Permanent Senior Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is ready to take their career to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of five years of experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, from maintaining the general ledger to managing inventories, as well as ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the company's general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage and reconcile inventories, including tracking, valuation, and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Review and improve accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
• Assist with tax preparation and filings.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial reporting, and drive financial success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with inventory management and cost accounting.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
