This internship provides a unique opportunity to rotate through key departments, gaining hands-on exposure to the diverse facets of our business.

  • Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the mechanical contracting industry? Our Engineering and Sales Rotation Internship program offers :
  • Practical Experience : Rotate through critical areas, including Design-Build Sales, Estimating, and Energy Engineering.
  • Real-World Collaboration : Work alongside seasoned professionals on impactful projects.
  • Skill Development : Build expertise in client relations, project management, and business strategy.

Explore Every Angle

In addition to sales, you’ll gain exposure to technical and operational roles, providing a well-rounded understanding of the industry :

  • Sales : Shadow sales executives, learn project pricing and proposal development, and build relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Estimating : Discover how cost projections influence project success and learn key estimation techniques.
  • Design & Energy Engineering : Dive into innovation, exploring system design and energy efficiency strategies.
  • Virtual Design Construction (VDC) / Computer Aided Design (CAD) : Work with cutting-edge technologies to visualize and optimize project execution.
  • Purchasing & Operations : Understand the end-to-end processes that drive successful projects.

    • By the end of the program, you’ll have a comprehensive understanding of mechanical contracting, preparing you to make informed decisions about your career path.

    Program Highlights

  • Rotate through all departments within our Engineering & Sales teams.
  • Attend educational workshops and training sessions, and gain exposure to active job sites.
  • Shadow sales representatives on client visits and participate in on-site walk-throughs.
  • Gain insights into the estimating process and its critical role across business segments.
  • Learn about strategic partnerships and their influence on business growth.

  • Willingness and ability to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Integrity, punctuality, and enthusiasm to represent Danforth to our customers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Enrollment in an accredited 2- or 4-year Engineering, Construction, Technology, and / or Science
