Delivery Tech Lead – Experience DomainWe are seeking a
Delivery Tech Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership and end-to-end accountability for one of four critical experience domains:
Customer,
Lending,
Accounting, or
Financial. You will guide technical delivery for 3–4 agile teams, mentor 20–40 technical professionals and serve as the final authority for all technical decisions within your domain. This is a
dedicated, non-rotational leadership role, reporting to the Director of Technical Delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Direction & Ownership - Own all technical decisions affecting delivery, quality, and system stability within your domain.
- Set domain-specific technical standards, integration strategies, and modernization approaches.
- Lead architecture design, approve technical interfaces, and develop deep system knowledge.
- Maintain hands-on involvement to guide and unblock teams while managing long-term strategy.
Delivery Execution - Accountable for on-time, high-quality delivery across multiple agile teams.
- Drive planning, technical estimation, and release readiness for your domain.
- Resolve delivery impediments quickly and ensure continuous flow of value.
- Manage transitions between Plan-to-Build and Build-to-Run phases.
Engineering Quality - Enforce domain-specific code quality, testing standards, and compliance requirements.
- Define quality gates, track technical debt, and implement sustainable delivery practices.
- Promote DevOps, automation, and secure coding practices within your teams.
Team Enablement & Mentorship - Provide technical coaching to developers, testers, and analysts across your capability teams.
- Guide 3–4 scrum teams through complex technical challenges and design decisions.
- Identify and mentor emerging technical leaders within your domain.
- Foster collaboration and shared learning without relying on direct authority.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with Product and Program peers to balance feasibility, priorities, and trade-offs.
- Coordinate with peer Delivery Tech Leads on cross-domain dependencies.
- Partner with shared services (e.g., DevOps, Data, Integration) to meet domain needs.
- Represent your domain in architecture reviews and technical governance forums.

Customer Experience - Systems: CRM, campaign management, portals, customer data platforms
- Capabilities: Onboarding, marketing automation, analytics
- Integrations: Communication tools, data feeds
Lending Experience - Systems: Loan origination, pricing engines, servicing, credit decisioning
- Capabilities: Underwriting, loan servicing, collections
- Integrations: Credit bureaus, collateral management
Accounting Experience - Systems: Payments, patronage, treasury, payoffs
- Capabilities: ACH/wire, settlement, fund transfers
- Integrations: Federal Reserve, clearing houses
Financial Experience - Systems: General ledger, AP, reporting, compliance
- Capabilities: Budgeting, financial accounting, regulatory submissions
- Integrations: Auditors, tax systems
Decision-Making Authority You have final authority over all technical matters within your assigned domain:
- Architecture, design, and system integration decisions
- Technology/tool selection for teams
- Code review standards and production readiness
- Domain-specific quality and security practices
- Technical go/no-go calls for deployments
Authority is exercised through expertise, not direct management. Cross-domain issues require consensus with peers.
Required Skills & Experience Technical Expertise - Strong knowledge of systems and integrations specific to your domain
- Expertise in agile delivery, CI/CD, API design, and DevOps practices
- Ability to guide teams through performance, scalability, and compliance challenges
- Hands-on experience with core banking systems and integrations
Leadership & Collaboration - Proven ability to lead multiple teams through influence
- Skilled at mentoring, coaching, and enabling technical professionals
- Strong communicator with a track record of aligning technical delivery with business priorities
Qualifications - 8+ years of progressive software development experience
- 3+ years in technical leadership with delivery accountability
- Experience in cooperative banking or financial services systems
- Familiarity with one or more of: Salesforce FSC, Fiserv DNA, MuleSoft, AWS/Azure
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Work Environment & Expectations - Hybrid (3 days in-office) or remote arrangement depending on business needs
- Occasional travel may be required
- Role requires focus, multitasking, collaboration, and problem-solving under pressure
