About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Curative to find a qualified Gastroenterology MD in Urbana, Illinois, 61801!

Join a high-performing Digestive Health Institute with the infrastructure and volume to support subspecialty IBD, Motility, and Advanced GI interests or a broad general GI practice. With real-time scheduling, exceptional support staff, and a procedural suite built for efficiency, this role offers both clinical satisfaction and earning potential. Whether you're seeking a general GI scope or a full IBD-focused panel, you'll find the backing to build a thriving career.

Practice Overview

  • 10-bed hospital-based GI procedure suite with access to a local ASC
  • Built-in hospitalist GI team covering 40 weeks of annual call
  • Subspecialty IBD practice fully supported, with in-house research and fellowship potential

Schedule

  • 80 / 20 split between procedures and clinic, with efficient swing-room scheduling
  • Typical caseload 10-12 cases per half day, finishing by 4 : 30 PM
  • 12 Weeks of call shared with outpatient providers, covering inpatient consults and ER
  • All GI operations centralized within a single facility; clinic, procedures, and recovery

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • Guaranteed base salary starting at $700K with expected income $800K-$1million
  • $50,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available
  • Full benefits including malpractice, CME, retirement, and visa sponsorship available

    • Candidate Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Fellowship-trained welcome but not required
  • Procedural volume comfort essential; advanced endoscopy handled separately
