Truck Driver - Drayage

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Drayage Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic company committed to efficient freight movement and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities :

  • Safely operate drayage trucks to transport 20 / 40 / 45 containers between rail yards, airports, and warehouses
  • Ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight, adhering to schedules and deadlines
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, deliveries, and vehicle logs
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel to coordinate operations
  • Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure a safe working environment

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
  • Proven experience operating drayage or similar freight trucks
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if necessary

    Requirements :

  • Valid CDL Class A
  • Hazmat & Tanker endorsement preferred
  • Experience with ORD airport preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be willing to assist in airport division when needed.
