SUMMARY
The Alternate Facility Security Officer(AFSO) supports and backs up the Facility Security Officer in managing the company's Industrial Security Program, ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117) and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements. The AFSO assists in safeguarding classified information, administering security procedures, and fulfilling communications security (COMSEC) and insider threat program duties. The AFSO serves as a backup to FSO in all duties, assuming lead in absence of FSO. Reports to the FSO.
