Your role as a Psychiatrist

As a Per Diem Psychiatrist at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a diverse range of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Your expertise will be utilized through a blend of therapy, medication management, and innovative interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. What you need to be successful

To succeed as a Per Diem Psychiatrist at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, you will need a Doctor of Medicine degree in Psychiatry and current licensure to practice in New York State. Board certification with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) is essential, alongside credentialing with Medicare and Medicaid insurances. Ideal candidates will possess experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities (IDD) as well as those displaying challenging behaviors and mental health needs. Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills, combined with a deep empathetic understanding and effective communication abilities, are critical in providing comprehensive care. Additionally, proficiency in relevant tools and software for patient management and treatment documentation will enhance your ability to deliver quality psychiatric services effectively within our supportive and collaborative team environment.
