Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Serves as the operational leader of the IU Center for Global Health's reciprocal innovation program and report to the Director of Reciprocal Innovation (RI). Under the Director of RI, leads the Center in its RI operations and designing and implementing the Center's vision and strategic plan for RI. Supports the Center's RI engagement in new partnerships as part of AMPATH Global (with new partnerships in Ghana, Mexico and Nepal) and ongoing and new global health partnerships across the broader university, Indiana and Kenya. Participates in leadership meetings with key stakeholders and program leadership. Contributes to new multi-country and RI grant applications and projects to test/adapt/scale care models.
- Provides direction and leadership on program monitoring and evaluation, public relations, and oversees the financial, legal, business, communications and logistical operations for the Center's RI programs. Oversees the logistical and administrative operations of the IUCGH RI program and the RI program office staff based at the Center. Manages RI operations of the Center including logistical and daily operations, business and financial activities. Supervises RI program staff at the Center, including but not limited to 1 Community Liaison, 1 Community Health Worker and 1 Project Coordinator.
- Works and collaborates with the Director of RI at the Center to develop a strategic and business plan for the Center's RI programs and initiatives and ensure that goals, objectives, and budgets are being met. Liaises with financial team, Office of Research Administration, Public Relations in overseeing grant management. Coordinates communication with donors, partners, and implementation teams on grant activities and outputs. -Oversees grant implementation and ensures workplans, budgets and objectives are monitored and completed.
- Develops, implements, and oversees systems for program performance tracking including tracking RI strategic objectives and impact. -Leads completion of grant and program reports per outlined requirements. -Develops and manages data plans and systems for tracking grants, projects and overall RI programs.
General Responsibilities
- Implements the organization's strategic vision and direction by developing, initiating, and/or supporting new programs and services, creating annual work plans, and operating within a board-approved balanced budget.
- Ensures the maintenance of effective office management, financial management, record-keeping, and equipment and software.
- Plans, directs and implements programs or events, including developing branding strategy and targeting audiences for these events.
- Oversees or represents the program in communications to program participants, supporting institutions, collaborators in other units, community partners, vendors and the public.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues and programs.
- Provides mechanisms, training, and advice on a variety of issues such as budget management software and advanced strategies for timely spending of grant funds.
- Oversees research and academic activities budgets for programs. Identifies funding requirements and funding sources to ensure adequate resources to sustain program goals. Leads grant writing.
- Evaluates the performance of lower-level staff, recommends development and performance plans, promotions and disciplinary action and is accountable for consistent administration of university policies.
- Keeps abreast of best practices to create and implement policies and procedures that deliver a quality program experience.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. $82,000 - $92,000 depending on experience and internal pay equity
