Job Title : Building Engineer

Job Description

The Building Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across various systems. The role requires technical expertise in at least two craft areas such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping / Plumbing, Hydraulics, and / or Central Utility Plant Operations, while having proficient knowledge in others. The work schedule is from 6am to 3pm.

Responsibilities

• Support the activities, building structure, and development track at the Facility in Carson, California.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and monitor repairs of the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, Hydraulic, and Control systems to ensure they meet applicable standards.
• Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical support.
• Maintain and repair equipment through cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to ensure optimal performance levels.
• Assist the Chief Engineer in gathering information for and submitting the Annual OCP, ensuring a minimum score of 3.5 or higher.
• Work at heights up to 26 feet and adapt to changing environmental temperature extremes.
• Perform overhead work while standing on a ladder.
• Lift and / or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
• Ensure regular and predictable attendance to support team and client needs.

This is a Contract position based out of Carson, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 / hr.
