This is your chance to be part of our amazing OR team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin with round-the-clock heart-care services. Your vital role in the Operating Room ensures successful outcomes for our patients. We value your skills and adaptability in high-pressure situations.

    Schedule / Hours : Full-time evening shifts, with 8 or 10-hour schedules. Most shifts may include on-call responsibilities, typically overnight (5-8 slots) and 1-2 weekends per 8-week period, requiring arrival within 30 minutes for call.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment following aseptic techniques during procedures.
  • Assist in various surgical procedures while ensuring safety and efficiency in the operating room.
  • Function efficiently and assist as a Second Assistant when necessary.
  • Manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment, notifying staff of any issues.
  • Transport patients and equipment and support patient positioning as required.
  • Demonstrate understanding of age-specific needs and provide appropriate care.

    • Qualifications :

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience required, making this an ideal opportunity for those beginning their careers!

    • Knowledge and Skills :

  • Understanding of aseptic surgical techniques and operating room protocols.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Able to lift and move patients and equipment safely.
  • Requires physical stamina to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have functional sight and hearing to perform job duties effectively.
