Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I trauma and robotic surgery experience for a day shift contract in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Operating Room of a hospital environment
  • Day shifts with a schedule of 4x10 hours from 7 : 00 to 17 : 30
  • Assignment length is 13 weeks
  • Care for a wide range of surgical specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma
  • Must be able to both scrub and circulate if required
  • Proficiency needed with the Davinci XI robot; familiarity with DV5 Davinci robot is a plus
  • 3-4 weekend shifts expected within a 6-week period, which could be day, evening, or night shifts
  • 2-3 on-call shifts required within a 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
  • EPIC charting experience heavily preferred
  • No floating required
  • May care for COVID-19 positive patients
  • Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
  • Holiday shifts required as needed, which may be day, evening, or night
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per contract
  • Local candidates (within 50 miles) are eligible at a reduced rate

    • Requirements

  • Active PA or compact RN license in hand with no license hits
  • Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience
  • At least one year of Level II or higher trauma experience; Level I trauma experience required
  • Previous travel nurse experience required
  • Current AHA or ARC BLS certification
  • Must be proficient in independent function for robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology surgeries
  • Completion of pre-start online modules
