Job Title : Residency Program Coordinator
Department : Dentistry | Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesiology
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Residency Program Coordinator for its Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology (OMFS). OMFS offers a full scope of surgical techniques for a variety of problems of the face and mouth. Many of our faculty surgeons have particular expertise in select sub-specialties, including temporomandibular disorder, nerve repair, orthognathic surgery, and cleft lip and palate repair.
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.
Functions as the Resident Program Coordinator for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology Division in the College of Dentistry include :
Prepares correspondence and exams
Reviews evaluation reports
Coordinates lectures and meetings for faculty and residents
Records statistical data
Records and maintains resident files
Assists in the coordination of the programs including accreditation site visits
Processes residency applications, coordinates residency applicant interviews with Residency Program Directors
Collaborates with Residency Program Directors to oversee and ensure compliance with educational requirements
Utilizes MedHub to record resident data for GME office
Coordinates resident rotations
Coordinates new resident on-boarding and orientation
Represents the programs at GME programmatic meetings
Coordinates externship programs
Maintains compliance records
Proctors examinations
Enters call schedules in QGenda
Assists with the preparation and distribution of program materials
Provides information to the public regarding programs
Acts as liaison between program applicants, residents, faculty, and Program Directors
Provides administrative / clerical support to the faculty, residents, and management staff.
Work Schedule :
Monday – Friday 7 : 30am - 4 : 30pm
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.
Salary range is $ 22.93 – 29.95 commiserate of experience and education.

Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of two years of relevant experience using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex, office practices and procedures, and customer service. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred managing confidential records; expertise with Microsoft Office; experience with OSU systems and procedures.
