Senior Exception Underwriter

A company is looking for a Senior Scenario and Exception Underwriter to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

Reviews and responds to scenario and exception requests within agreed upon SLA, communicating with clients as needed

Analyzes and documents various loan scenarios, including mortgage applications and credit history

Approves, declines, or refers scenarios and exceptions within assigned authority while maintaining accurate records

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum of five years' experience underwriting non-Agency loans

Manual underwriting experience highly preferred

Proficiency in alternative non-Agency income analysis and appraisal evaluations

Thorough understanding of credit risk and complex loan transactions
