Experience : Minimum 1 year (2nd–5th year associate class)

Type : Full-Time

Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking an Associate with transactional tax experience to join its Tax Department in the Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a premier legal team on sophisticated transactions for leading businesses and institutions across industries.

Key Responsibilities :

Advise clients on the tax aspects of corporate and financial transactions , including M&A, joint ventures, and capital markets.

Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on structuring deals and managing tax-related risks.

Conduct legal research and drafting on complex transactional tax issues.

Provide strategic guidance to clients navigating evolving tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 1 year of transactional tax experience .

Class level : 2nd–5th year associate .

Strong academic credentials and proven analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills .

Admission to the California Bar (or eligibility to waive in).
