Unit Overview :

Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit and engage with a diverse and complex patient population. Care for patients undergoing :

Post-operative craniotomy procedures

Spinal surgeries (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)

Stroke patients as part of the Comprehensive Stroke Program

As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), our unit incorporates the latest neurosurgical techniques.

Your Role :

Provide evidence-based patient care utilizing the nursing process

Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams

Employ critical thinking and effective communication to foster positive patient outcomes

Key Responsibilities :

Assess and address patient needs, collaborating with patients and families for effective care plans

Monitor significant changes in patient conditions

Oversee discharge plans using a comprehensive approach

Qualifications :

Registered Nurse license for the state of practice

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Completion of an accredited nursing program

Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Knowledge and Skills :

Ability to deliver holistic patient care

Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records

Strong organization and multi-tasking capabilities

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift and move patients as necessary

Operates essential medical equipment

Work may involve exposure to hazardous materials; protective gear will be provided
