Description : SERVICE PHILOSOPHY

SHIFT AVAILABILITY

  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 1 : 30 pm-10 : 00 pm, Saturday, Sunday, 11 : 30 am-8 : 00 pm
  • Shift differential after four (4) pm.
  • PDI is looking for hardworking & enthusiastic employees to work in small teams at Gyms on Fort Carson.
  • Opening shifts and closing shifts are available.

SUMMARY

  • The Fort Carson Custodian (“Custodian”) performs work under the authority of the Fort Carson custodial contract (“contract”) and follows all supervision, direction, and oversight to meet contract-related guidelines, provisions, and goals.     Requirements :

    E SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Safety

  • Follow procedures for the safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
  • Follow safety procedures to check electrical appliances and equipment before use
  • Notify the supervisor with recommendations about equipment repair and replacement
  • Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Custodial

  • Mixes and prepares cleaning solutions according to manufacturer specifications and PDI safety guidelines
  • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes the floor
  • Clean rugs, carpet,s and upholstered furniture
  • Dust furniture and equipment
  • Polishes metalwork
  • Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills
  • Empties wastebaskets
  • Transports trash and waste to the disposal area
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways and office space
  • Transports small equipment or tools between departments
  • Sets up tables and chairs in the lunchroom, work centers, and other areas as required
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A high school degree or its equivalent is required. Prior custodial experience is required.
  • ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Age 18. Pre-employment background screening, pre-employment drug screening, and successful completion of First Aid and other required certifications are required.
  • All applicants need to have clearance to get onto the Army Post
  • Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and work effectively with individuals served, staff, and support agencies.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with disabled and elderly people within the PDI environment.
  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • MATHEMATICS ABILITY

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as circumference and volume.

    OTHER DUTIES

  • Pay Rate : $17.75 per hour, plus additional Company Health & Welfare compensation applied toward full-time benefits. Various shifts are available. Days, Evenings, Nights, and / or Weekends. There is a shift differential of $1.00 per hour after 4 : 00 p.m.

    Benefits : Available to full-time employees after the first 30 days of employment, the benefits package includes :

  • Pueblo Diversified Industries is an AbilityOne participating employer. The Pay Rate is $17.75 per hour, plus an additional $4.60 per hour for a benefits package (Major Health, Dental, Vision) available after the first 30 days of employment.

  • PDI is funded by Federal Contracts; therefore, we are required to adhere to federal regulations and guidelines on the Drug Screen and Background Check process.
