Loss Prevention Specialist

PURPOSE : To prevent loss by monitoring and assisting management with loss prevention related activities throughout the store and insuring that company and store policies and procedures are maintained, while enhancing customer relations and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Provide Loss Prevention support to Front End management at the checkout area.
• Observation and review of associate activities and compliance to company policies and procedures.
• Observes customers throughout the store as it relates to customer service and loss prevention; apprehends shoplifters; performs loss prevention activities as they relate to state law and company policy and procedures concerning retail theft.
• Assists management in the performance of loss prevention related inspections.
• Cooperate with and respond to requests by police departments, courts and other public agencies under the direction of Loss Prevention.
• Assists management with the implementation of Loss Prevention programs.
• Communicates with and trains associates on all loss prevention related issues.
