Purpose of Position :
The Vice President (VP) of Healthcare Systems is a visionary leader responsible for influencing and executing BAMSIs healthcare strategy across a diverse portfolio of programs. This role drives clinical excellence operational efficiency and strategic partnerships to ensure high-quality person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
Co-Lead strategic partnerships with funders hospitals payers and public health entities to expand BAMSIs continuum of care.Develop and implement integrated care models that align with value-based care and population health principles.Foster cross-functional collaboration between healthcare clinical experts direct support and operational teams.Analyze state and national trends to inform strategic initiatives funding opportunities and policy positioning.Collaborate with executive leadership to set organizational priorities and drive transformative initiatives.Clinical & Operational Oversight
Oversee all healthcare services and operations within Community Living and Day Services (CLDS) and provide nursing guidance to community-based programs and residential programs within BAMSIs BHCS Division. Ensure delivery of high-quality trauma-informed and culturally responsive healthcare services.Oversee compliance with all federal state and local regulations including auditing and quality assurance protocols. Take a lead role in preparing for licensing and certification reviews and DPH audits.Champion continuous quality improvement initiatives that enhance outcomes efficiency and staff engagement; ensuring Positive Behavior Supports human rights community integration and independence of persons served are prioritized.Guide implementation of health equity strategies medication management systems and preventative care models.Oversee the on-call system to ensure programs receive guidance and support during evening and weekend hours.Promote cultural and linguistic accessibility across all healthcare touchpoints.Financial Stewardship
Collaborate with Finance and the operation leaders to develop and manage multimillion-dollar budgets across CLDS.Monitor reimbursement trends and advocate for sustainable funding models and innovative payment structures.Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service excellence.Workforce Development & Culture
Supervise Senior Directors of Healthcare Services who provide oversight to BAMSIs regional and site-based nursing teams within BAMSIs CLDS Division.Establish quality benchmarks and professional development pathways. Mentor senior healthcare managers and emerging leaders with a focus on sustainability and succession.With Human Resources lead recruitment retention and leadership development strategies for healthcare personnel.Foster a culture of accountability innovation and equity across all levels of the organization.Collaborate with Learning and Development to develop and deliver healthcare trainings.Data Evaluation & Reporting
Utilize healthcare analytics to drive decision-making resource allocation and service enhancement.Ensure timely reporting to state agencies and funders with attention to impact equity and cost-effectiveness.Support grant development and legislative advocacy with data-driven insights.What You Bring :
Required : Active RN license in MA drivers license and reliable car. Masters degree preferred.Experience : Minimum of seven (7) years of leadership in healthcare or human services. Proven success managing geographically dispersed teams and programs. Understanding of Massachusetts regulations funding structures and community-based systems.Skills : Excellent communication skills crisis management strategic planning and teamwork.Bonus : Multilingual.We Value :
