Job Description:

Pay Range: $25hr - $30hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new software and tools quickly.
  • Strong command of XX grammar and writing conventions.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Experience with gaming.
Experience:
  • Experience translating or playing trading card games (preferred).
  • Experience with CAT tools (Trados, MemoQ, or similar).
  • Prior involvement in localization projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure translations meet cultural and linguistic quality standards.
  • Collaborate with localization team members to maintain consistency and brand alignment.
  • Participate in product research, testing, and timeline management.
  • Provide cultural insights in development meetings.
  • Report progress to management regularly.
  • Review or proof materials created by other teams.
  • Follow localization direction and brand guidelines.
  • Utilize CAT tools, game scripts, builds, and team resources to produce accurate translations.
  • Ensure terminology consistency and alignment with existing translations.
  • Understand requirements for different content types (e.g., scripts, marketing text, legal considerations).
  • Collaborate daily with translators, editors, project managers, and technical teams.
  • Support other localization tasks and projects as needed.
Should Have:
  • Interest in gaming and marketing.
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and tools.
Skills:
  • Strong linguistic accuracy.
  • Collaborative communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualification and Education:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in localization, translation, linguistics, or related fields preferred.
