A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative responsible for collections, account follow-up, and billing allowance posting.
Key Responsibilities
Follow up with payers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims
Monitor and update patient and financial information for accuracy
Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays, initiating appeals as necessary
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2-3 years of experience in insurance collections and hospital / facility billing
Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including ICD-9 / 10 and CPT codes
Familiarity with workflow systems such as STAR, SMS, EAGLE, and EPIC
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
