OB Hospitalist Opportunity
Seeking an additional Board Certified or Board Eligible OB Hospitalist to join their team as soon as possible. This is a permanent, hospital-employed position serving a high-volume women s health service line in a Level II NICU setting.
Schedule & Coverage
Full-time : 7.5 24-hour shifts per month
Part-time consideration : minimum of 5.5 24-hour shifts per month (benefit eligible)
Active Texas license required to start ASAP
Local residency required; relocation may be necessary
Clinical Volume & Practice Scope
Approximately 1,924 deliveries annually
Hospitalists perform both vaginal and Cesarean deliveries
Cesarean section rate of approximately 40%
2,296 unscheduled outpatient OB / GYN triage visits per year
1,229 OBED consults annually
Responsibilities
OB triage, admissions, deliveries, and inpatient care
Care for unassigned patients and support private call coverage
Coverage of OB floor and GYN emergency consults from the ER
Assist with Cesarean sections and other surgical procedures
Respond to labor and delivery emergencies
Collaborate with in-house neonatologists, neonatal NPs, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists for high-risk pregnancies
