The Mission :

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for an a Senior Network / Systems Tools Engineer to support the Intelligence Sector.

The job duties are as follows :

• System Architecture : Design implement and maintain the OpenText Network Operations Management (NOM) system architecture with a specific focus on the Operations Bridge for the Transformation and Integration Cloud (OPTIC) Data Lake ensuring a scalable resilient and secure platform for enterprise network management performance monitoring and compliance reporting.
• Security & Compliance : Provide SME support and guidance to junior administrators and operators that manage user accounts permissions and access controls within NOM to ensure data security and compliance.
• Administration & Maintenance : Plan install configure secure upgrade and patch the OPTIC Data Lake (DL) in containerized environments (e.g. Kubernetes). Conduct similar duties for the Juniper Routing Director (formerly Paragon) which runs Kubernetes with a Linux base OS. Develop and maintain API integrations using REST APIs and connectors to connect both platforms with other enterprise systems and applications.
• Performance & Optimization : Monitor and optimize the performance and stability of the OpenText NOM and OPTIC DL systems proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Configuration : Configure and manage data ingestion into the OPTIC Data Lake ensuring seamless integration of topology events and metrics from various sources.
• Data Management & Reporting : Administer the OPTIC DL including data ingestion storage backup and restore processes and manage Stakeholder Dashboards and reports for capacity planning and trend analysis.
• Troubleshooting & Support : Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to installation configuration performance and integrations working with vendor support when necessary.
• Documentation & Training : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation according to standards.
• Automation : Automate routine operational processes using scripting (e.g. Python Ansible PowerShell) to increase efficiency and reduce manual workload.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $107900.00 - $195050.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
