Field Engineer

A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for a highly motivated Field Engineer to join our team in Portland, OR.

This is an mid-level position requiring 2-5 years' experience working with concrete or pipe.  Responsibilities / Duties :

• Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals.
• Assist in management of project permit process.
• Assist is preparation of bid packages and procurement.
• Receive and review change orders.
• Assist more senior civil engineers with entry level engineering tasks Assist with performing onsite construction administration and construction observation services including reporting / monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents.
• Evaluates change order requests including design changes, specifications and drawing releases and reports status.
• Evaluates submittals of shop drawings, material data and samples and takes appropriate action based upon contract specifications.
• Reviews and processes as-built drawings to ensure that all changes during the course of construction are recorded.
• Completes project close out requirements in accordance with contract documents.
• Coordinates meeting agendas, prepares minutes and follows up on action items Maintains effective and professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers and contractors.
• Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
