As a Security Officer - Data Center Entry in Kansas City, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor activity, and document security-related observations to help reduce incidents. Pay Rate : $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and / or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and / or telecom location.
  • Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification, authorizations, and / or appointment details while following site access requirements.
  • Issue, track, and recover visitor credentials and temporary badges, maintaining accurate logs and supporting confidentiality expectations.
  • Screen inbound deliveries and service providers, coordinate access with site contacts, and direct individuals to proper check-in locations.
  • Monitor and acknowledge alarms, cameras, and / or access control notifications, then escalate concerns per post orders to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and other access points for irregularities and reporting maintenance concerns.
  • Complete reports and shift logs, including access activity, incident details, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
