Are you interested in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting managed customer accounts in the logistics and supply chain industry Backhaul Direct is looking for a Freight Coordinator to support our operations team by entering shipment details scheduling appointments and ensuring freight moves smoothly for our customers. The Freight Coordinator will work alongside the Account Managers and Customer Sales Representatives in moving freight from one place to another as easily and painless as possible for both our customers and motor is a great opportunity for detail-oriented individuals looking to learn the logistics industry and grow into advanced roles in operations account management or sales.

What will you do as a Freight Coordinator

  • Accurately accept load tenders and build shipments into Backhaul Directs proprietary software Grapevine TMS
  • Accept tenders via EDI and certify that the load information is correct once imported into the Grapevine TMS
  • Coordinate loads to be picked up and delivered utilizing your customer service skills via phone or email along with using the customers scheduling system(s)
  • Set appointments for pickup and delivery on each transaction (load) as required
  • Work with your team and Backhaul Direct staff to come up with innovated ways to grow and improve accounts

What qualifications do you need to be considered for a Freight Coordinator

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • No prior logistics experience required - we will train you!
  • Previous customer service experience preferred specifically in the transportation industry a plus
  • Ability to enter data into systems swiftly and accurately
  • Self-motivated with a positive and learning / growth attitude
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
