Upstream Manufacturing Associate – Clinical Production
Piper Health and Sciences is seeking an Upstream Manufacturing Associate to support clinical production in a cGMP biopharmaceutical environment. This role offers hands-on experience in bioprocessing and cell culture, helping advance therapies into clinical trials. Ideal for candidates looking to grow in biotech manufacturing.
Responsibilities for Upstream Manufacturing Associate Include:
·Operate upstream biomanufacturing equipment: bioreactors, filtration systems, centrifuges, autoclaves, washers, and stainless-steel tanks
·Perform clean-in-place (CIP), sterilization, and equipment preparation
·Execute cell culture operations: aseptic technique, biosafety cabinet use, bioreactor ops, cell banking, and harvest
·Prepare media and buffers; perform basic analytical testing (e.g., pH, protein concentration)
·Maintain accurate GMP documentation and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Qualifications for Upstream Manufacturing Associate Include:
·Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, etc.) is required.
·1–4 years of upstream manufacturing experience.
·Basic chemistry and media/buffer prep knowledge.
·Familiarity with cell culture techniques and production equipment.
·Strong initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation for Upstream Manufacturing Associate Include:
