Senior Business Data Analyst

Location: Remote (PAN India)
Shift: 4:00 PM ? 12:00 AM IST
Engagement: Full-time, Individual Contributor

About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst with a startup mindset ? someone who blends strong analytical ability with business acumen. The ideal candidate understands how data drives strategy, can quickly grasp domain nuances (especially in Education), and transforms raw data into actionable insights that influence decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, identify KPIs, and define data needs.

• Understand different data domains and determine the right data sources to extract and analyze information.

• Clean, transform, and analyze data from multiple formats (CSV, Excel, JSON, etc.).

• Create logical data mappings from source to reporting layer.

• Build compelling Power BI dashboards and reports that tell the business story clearly.

• Translate complex analysis into clear, concise business recommendations.

• Work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6?10 years of experience in Power BI and data analysis.

• Strong business understanding and analytical thinking ? able to connect data to business outcomes.

• Mandatory experience or deep familiarity with the Education domain.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills ? confident, clear, and professional.

• Proven ability to handle ambiguity and deliver insights in a startup-style setup.

• Must be able to join within 3?4 weeks.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to SQL or basic data modeling concepts.

• Prior experience working with cross-functional business teams across geographies.
