We are excited to offer a remote friendly working environment for our employees. To be successful in this role, there are travel requirements (one in-person visit or more per quarter) to our office locations (indicate either Pune, India or Philadelphia, PA) for workshops, team meetings and collaborative activities. There will be opportunities for international travel to Pune, India and/or Medellin, Colombia and/or Philadelphia, PA annually and as needed based on business needs.

Job Description

What this role entails:

• Plays the role of Team Lead of the GTN & DIA Engineering teams while working very closely with the Product Managers & BAs to transform business requirements into scalable & efficient design.
• Own & lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable web app (GTN) and data pipelines, extracts, & replications (DIA) for large and complex datasets (structured, semi-structured, unstructured).
• Build robust data integration and replication frameworks that integrate data from various source systems together in our Data Cloud for analytical purposes.
• Optimize pipeline performance, monitoring, and error-handling for reliability and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, SOC2, etc.).
• Support migration to modern cloud-native architectures (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Document processes, system context, pipelines, and data flows for cross-team visibility.
• Collaborate with the other Team Leads & Architects on architecture and system design efforts.
• Write efficient, well-structured complex database queries and contribute to schema design discussions.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• 10+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering & Analytics field (Primary) and Web Application Engineering (Secondary)
• Proven track record in leading teams of Data/Web App Engineers (Dev & QA) who are fully committed on delivering high-quality solutions to the business problems.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the programming languages (Python is MUST)
• Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries in any relational or columnar database
• Strong skills in designing and enhancing DB models
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Airflow, or similar).
• Strong skills in designing and maintaining Web Apps (Frameworks: ORM, API, Javascript)
• Hands-on expertise with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, etc).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and reliability.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets in healthcare, pharma, or financial services is a plus.
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2) is preferred.
• Ability to create and interpret technical diagrams using tools like Lucidchart.
• Experience with agile & documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.
