JOB SUMMARY :
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Release Manager who is responsible for planning, preparing, and coordinating deployment activities across multiple technical teams. This role involves consolidating release details into a comprehensive runbook, working with the deployment teams, managing change requests, and hosting collaborative calls to review and finalize deployment sequences. In the role, this individual will be responsible for documentation and reporting to Senior Leaders / Stakeholders, coordinating software testing, managing multiple apps while mitigating risk, and collaborating with Development Managers. The ideal candidate will be someone who has excellent project management skills and ideally comes from a development or business analyst background. This individual must have excellent communication and presentation skills, as they will be working with technology executives on a regular basis. This is 3x onsite in Plano, TX.
DAY TO DAY
- Work on deployment plans / cycle : execution, preparation for next deployment
- Cutover prep and manage deployment runbooks for releases.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and other technical teams to ensure smooth release execution.
- Create and submit change requests using Remedy (currently at end-of-life).
- Consolidate all release details into a single, comprehensive runbook. Create deployment sequence, scripts, and rollback steps.
- Host and lead calls with development teams to review the runbook and sequence of activities.
- Ensure that all application components, database changes, and configuration updates from development teams are aligned and sequenced correctly in the release plan
- Finalize the runbook during coordination calls and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
- Work closely with Agile teams to manage delivery plans and release timelines.
- Facilitate communication channels and ensure proper documentation of release processes.
