Job Title : SQL Server Database Administrator

Location : Houston, Texas (On-site)

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and optimize SQL Server and open-source database environments. Our team relies on this position to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across both on-premises and cloud systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage databases across development, test, production, and disaster recovery environments, ensuring consistent operations and reliability.
  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain database instances following established standards and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for maintenance, monitoring, and operational workflows using technologies such as T-SQL, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
  • Support deployments in Azure and AWS environments, participating in DevOps pipelines and database automation initiatives.

Experience / Minimum Requirements :

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with SQL Server databases.
  • Strong expertise with SQL Server 2016-2022 and direct experience managing PostgreSQL or MongoDB within production settings.
  • Proficiency with high availability technologies such as Always-On Availability Groups and distributed environment support.
  • Experience with cloud database administration on Azure and AWS, as well as scripting and automation using T-SQL and PowerShell.
