Working at PetsWay is serious fun! You get to work with animals, pet products, and fellow animal lovers every day. As a Team Member, you will create a personalized shopping experience for our pet parents, and you will be able to share your expert knowledge to ensure they are receiving the perfect products for their family. As a Team Member, you will be an essential part of creating sincere connections with our pets and pet parents. You will also be responsible for caring for animals, general store cleaning, merchandising, and inventory maintenance.

We are seeking an individual with exceptional customer service skills. The ideal candidate also possesses good organization and communication skills. If you have a passion for helping pets, come join our team of animal lovers!

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Prior retail experience or animal care in a professional environment is preferred.
• Prior cash handling experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers (and pets) that enter the store and determine what each customer needs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service that is consistent and beyond expectations.
• Feed, care and look after the health of animals.
• Operate the cash register to receive payments by cash, check, and credit cards.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Complete general cleaning duties of the store.
• Clean livestock habitats, as necessary.
• Load and unload the freight inventory.
• Complete price labeling and display of store products.
• Perform inventory counts and records for store products.
• Handle customer complaints when they arise by exhibiting excellent customer service.
• Answer customers' questions and provide information on products.
• Answer customer questions to help them find their perfect pet and more!
