Travel Licensed Practical Nurse - Corrections - Natchitoches, Louisiana

As a Correctional LPN, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a Correctional Center/Facility located in Natchitoches, LA. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate LPNs who are passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare.

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse -LPN - Night shift
Location: Natchitoches, Louisiana
Schedule: PRN Rotation 7 on 7 off or 8-Week Travel Contract
Pay - Starting hourly $38.00 with a Per Diem, calculated on distance traveled

What You'll Do:
As an LPN in our Correctional Facility, you will play a crucial role in providing healthcare services to inmates. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the physical and mental well-being of our inmate population. This position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who can navigate the unique challenges of healthcare delivery within a correctional setting.

• LPN license in Louisiana or "Compact" Multi-License
• 1+ years of recent nursing experience preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• BLS

Responsibilities

• Conduct health screenings, assessments, and triage for incoming inmates.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor and document inmate medical histories and vital signs.
• Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with facility policies and regulations.
• Educate and counsel inmates on health-related issues and self-care.

Requirements

LPN License in State of Assignment
CPR or BLS
