The superintendent plays a pivotal role in mentoring staff, managing risk, overseeing quality control, and contributing to the overall financial and operational success of the project. Responsibilities

Qualifications

Experience :

Minimum of 5+ years as a Superintendent in commercial construction, managing large-scale multi-million-dollar projects.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) and a strong understanding of construction scheduling and coordination. Familiarity with BIM and CAD is preferred.

Certifications : OSHA 10 / 30-hour certification Preferred; First Aid / CPR certification preferred. Knowledge of sustainable construction practices is a plus.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Leadership & Communication :

Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to mediate conflicts and effectively manage a diverse team of subcontractors and site personnel.

Problem Solving :

Demonstrated ability to solve complex construction problems, negotiate effectively, and make timely, cost-effective decisions.

Working Environment :

Superintendents will work primarily on-site at project locations but will also have desk duties.

Physical Requirements :

Standing and Walking : 75%

Sitting and Desk Work : 25%

Occasional lifting of materials and equipment.
