Job Title : ENV Field Specialist II

Location : 335 Tristar Dr, Webster, TX 77598 (Onsite)

Duration : 6+ Months Contract to Hire

Payrate : $28/hr on W2.

Note : This is a safety sensitive position. To clarify, this is an OFFICE-BASED ROLE Technical Services - Customer Service Rep, NOT an operations or material handling position.

The ideal candidate should have:

A strong background in RCRA and DOT regulations

Experience or training in hazardous materials

Preferred background in lab packing, chemistry, or environmental sciences

Familiarity with reviewing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and analytical data

Experience in waste profiling and consulting customers on disposal recommendations

The role is primarily focused on providing technical guidance to customers regarding proper waste disposal methods, ensuring compliance and accuracy. 2-5 years' experience.

Primary Purpose:

• Provides the safety, regulatory and compliance safeguard for the management of customer waste materials for the chemical waste disposal line of business.
• A successful candidate for this role will be adaptable and perform well under pressure, possess the ability to assess and assign priority to requests, and have the knowledge of waste characterization according to the regulations.

What you ll do:

• Lead all aspects of end-to-end profile creation ensuring Univar Solutions can safely handle waste streams for our customers and internal branches and within the regulations of Environmental Protective Agency (EPA), State, Resource conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of Transportation (DOT) and Univar Solutions compliance and safety policies. Responsible for entering/maintaining/updating all waste stream specific data into profiling portal
• Assists sales personnel with the handling of customer profile requests; answers technical questions and makes recommendations for handling customer problems
• Provides technical/regulatory/compliance expertise for external and internal customers
• Lead recertifications and 100% price evaluation of change in technology and cost
• Delivers price control through technical approval and customer price verification. Owns gross margin percentage for the business based on profile price controls
• Performs other related duties as required or requested

What you ll need:

Education/Experience/Training:

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor s degree (Environmental Sciences, Chemistry or Biology Degree) preferred or 2 years of technical experience in hazard or waste management industry

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience or knowledge in regulatory elements of waste and material management, EPA, RCRA, DOT and other state and local agencies
• Customer Service focused
• Experience taking care of internal and external customers and partners at various levels of the organization
• Assists sales personnel with the handling of customer profile requests; answers technical questions and makes recommendations for handling customer problems.
• Ability to classify waste according to RCRA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Research chemicals and regulatory literature where applicable.
• Data entry into multiple platforms.
• Customer service.
• Familiarity with SAP.
